Just Detect distinguishes itself by providing a dedicated platform for metal detecting enthusiasts to showcase their finds, reminiscent of social media sites like Instagram but tailored for this niche community.

Upon creating a user profile, members can select either a public or private setting, allowing them to comfortably record their discoveries. The social aspect is reinforced by features enabling users to follow fellow members, interact with their posts through likes and comments, and share their own experiences.

A unique gamification element is introduced through a scoring system, rewarding members for the number of recorded finds, which in turn influences their position on a leaderboard. Additionally, users can support their preferred brands by tagging the manufacturer of their metal detector—options include prominent names like Minelab, Nokta, Garrett, Quest, and Rutus. This feature also contributes to a "finds by brand" leaderboard, further engaging the community.

Looking ahead, Just Detect plans to enhance its offerings with the ability to book permissions across over 10 counties in the UK in its full release. This forthcoming feature will be part of an annual subscription package, providing members with more opportunities to explore new territories.

Important:
The platform prioritizes user privacy; location data remains confidential and is never shared with other members or third parties. Users maintain full control over their profiles, including options for public or private settings and follow request management. Enabling follow requests allows potential followers to send requests that must be accepted before they can view any shared finds. Additionally, members have the capability to block others if necessary.
